Using the latest home automation technology there is little in the home that Civic Automation Services cannot automate for you, whether you are a private homeowner, an interior designer, an architects or a lighting consultant. It is not difficult to imagine the benefits of home automation, though many people might scoff at automation as being a lazy rich man’s toy. Probably the most important asset for anyone to have in today’s hi tech age is Time. In a world where things happen so quickly, time is of the essence, and every minute that can be saved is a minute that can be put to better use. Civic Automation Services can automate almost any part of your home or workplace in such a way that you have more time for better things.
Some of the areas that can be covered by Civic Automation Services are:
- Security system
- Interior and exterior lighting
- Home theatres and sound systems
- Garden irrigation and pool maintenance
- Climate control
- Curtains, shutters and blinds
Until quite recently automating a home involved the major use of cables, and as you can imagine in older homes this was an involved and expensive process. However, the last ten years has seen a major increase in the availability of wireless technology, and Civic Automation Services are able to put this kind of technology to good use. This makes the installation of many home automation systems so much easier and cheaper as well. Home automation will not only enhance your standard of living, but also give you more time to yourself and bring down your energy bill. Contact one of our consultants at any time to discuss what we can do for you.

Road Signage
Armco Signage is the company that is now the chief producer of South Africa’s road signs. In 2008 our parent company, Armco Superlite (Pty) Ltd, acquired the signage company Nameplate Centre, which was then acknowledged as being the leader in the South African road signage industry. The company has now been re-branded as Armco Signage, and is a valued supplier of road signs both within South Africa and in our neighbouring countries. The company makes a completely comprehensive range of all road traffic signs available in South Africa including regulatory signs, warning signs, direction signs and tourist signs. Some of the road signs we produce are known as selective road restriction signs, but just as there are selective road restriction signs, so must there also be road de-restriction signs. These signs are used to depict the end of a restricted zone, and so road de-restriction signs can be seen at the end of a highway as a blue rectangle depicting a highway, but with a large red cross through it.
Armco Signage manufactures a wide range of road warning signs including road de-restriction signs in accordance with specifications laid down in legislation by various government departments or according to our clients’ specifications. We supply road de-restriction signs to municipalities and other organisations throughout South Africa and internationally. You’ll find a comprehensive pictorial depiction of our range of signs on our web page under the products tab. If you would like any further information regarding road signs please contact us at +27 11 222 9800
